Illustration Design Brief

Summary:
We need an iconic image that dramatizes and encapsulates the key benefits of our client’s product, which is high-speed Internet service. These benefits are (1) dramatically increased speed, (2) very low rates, and (3) exceptional customer service. This image will be used on their sales materials, website, business cards and other forms of communications as a primary brand element.

Company Background:
Our client is a new, small Internet Service Provider that is going up against giants like AT&T and Verizon. They are out to change the Internet experience by providing twice the speed of whatever the customer is using at half the price they are now paying. They also guarantee that the customer will have the fastest Internet speed possible forever. Central to their offering is the exceptional customer service they provide. Since they are small, they can provide very personal and responsive service.

Key Design Considerations:
The image should connote a person or object exploding through a barrier at very high speed. The image should look very modern. The barrier is representative of Internet service as it currently exists. In general, consumers are very dissatisfied with Internet Service Providers. We are to change that with blinding fast speed, shockingly low rates, personal and prompt service, and the guaranteed fastest speed forever.

Style:
We would like the artwork itself to be flat with limited colors. We need to stay away from anything that looks cartoonish. The colors should be consistent with their logo colors. They are PMS 1575 and 306.

Process:
As a first step, we'd prefer to see several rough ideas than one finished idea.

Note on attached illustration ideas. These are provided simply representative of what we are thinking. The running man would be coming through a wall.
