Web Design Brief

Brief Summary

We are looking for an initial design/concept with coding of daily world news portal . The design should be clean, elegant and professional-looking. We don't want anything too bleeding edge, and we would like to steer away from anything that looks too much like a blog. Please feel free to be creative. We are open to different styles, colour schemes etc. but it is important the design works with itself as a whole and has a consistent look and feel.

Requirements

There should be at least one sidebar. We have found that most online newspapers are base white, blue, red, with a dash of colour, and I would like to suggest this as a starting point.



Top Navigation

I need a good looking Navigation bar with the following Categories U.S, World, Politics ,Business, Tech, Sport etc.



Key Sections in home Page



- Under that there should be a section for Top stories on the left side and a widget showing latest news on the right side

- Under that a section for Breaking news

- Under that a section for local news

- Below that I need the video section showing Top videos on the left side and list of videos on the right side

- Below that I need a sports section

- Below that US news section

- Below that World News

- Below that I need the Politics section

- Below that The business section

- Below that the science section

- Below that news around the web

- Below that the entertainment section

Nice to have

All these sections should have a top story on the left and list of stories on the right.
