Logo Design Brief

Please, no "hairy" logos!

I'm branching out on my own as an electrologist. If you're not familiar with the profession, it's a form of permanent hair removal - lots of info on the internet about what it involves (pain, needles, swelling, more pain, but unmatched results).

I'm looking for a simple logo design that can be used for a website, letterhead, business cards etc. I'd like it to incorporate the company name (ECctrolysis) if possible.

This is a business that caters primarily to women (including transgender women, so bonus points for using the transgender flag colors - white, pink, lavender - a copy of the flag is attached), and perhaps try to get the transgender symbol in there too (again, copy attached). But I don't want to necessarily overplay the transgender angle, so subtlety would be appreciated; the colors are more important to me than the symbol. Trans women (including me) will recognize the colors immediately, and I'd like the logo to not necessarily scream "transgender" but rather give a gentle clue to those in the know as to what my specialization is.

I'd ideally like something that looks relaxing (and pain-free!) rather than something excessively medical, sharp, or electrical, even though electrolysis is semi-medical, uses a needle, and involves electricity. Something abstract and simple (flowers?) would be useful rather than anything too detailed and busy. But you're the experts on graphic design, not me, so you're welcome to surprise me! Feel free to use your best judgement. At this point in time, I'm absolutely open to anything.

Must have

• No "must haves". I'm very open to all interpretations and styles, and would love for you to create something truly unique and unexpected. The EC should stand out - they're my initials.

Nice to have

• Transgender flag colors - see attached example. And something that suggests transition or movement (from male to female.)

Should not have

• Anything that hints at needles, hair removal, or electricity.
