Illustration Design Brief

A few months ago our company developed a short "childrens-like" story booklet to use as collateral for new business. The idea behind developing these booklets was to step outside the box of our regular material and have a “fun and easy” way to explain our business. I work in our Building Products division and we have 3 “products” ChannelReach, SpecReach, and Channel 80/20 which, in a nutshell are three categories that our clients would primarily fall into. Hopefully actually reading the booklet might help you understand a little more.

What we’re looking for is someone to recreate/illustrate the artwork in the book to give it more of a drawn, children’s book type of feel. Would like to see more creativity and differentiation in Anita and the pages throughout the book. The outfit colors represent the branding of each product so the red, orange, and yellow will have to remain as they are a large part of the branding.

There are 3 different versions of the book though, there are quite a few repeated pages between the booklets, therefore we could use the same illustration in each book. I have attached the 3 booklets for you to look through and get a feel of what you would be working with.

** Ongoing Opportunity :
After we have this illustrated, our next step is to make these into short animated videos. If that is something you might be also capable of please let me know. Would love to see potential examples of this! It would be really beneficial to continue work with the illustrator of the book to create the animations.

Illustration STYLE examples .. type should be drawn or sketched - could be watercolor, colored pencil, etc. The following examples are not what we want Anita to literally look like but more along the lines of the drawing style. BUT open to other options of what designers have to offer!
