Illustration Design Brief

I used to be an artist, now I'm a programmer. My kids and I want to make a video game about a cute cat who farts to fly around town... I know, this might be the best thing ever made (if you're under 12 years old, or over 30)... or maybe just me and my kids will like it, who knows.

I have some ideas about the creatives, but nothing firm.

The cat has to be cute (anime-ish or simple slight caricature). I would want vectors (ideally) or at least a couple of large concept images, and a few sprites.

The cat will not really walk, jump, run or any of the traditional platformer movements. The cat will sit, fart to fly up and left, up and right, straight up, and the cat will land. A few other movements would be nice, like tail swishing and eye blinking... Perhaps item grabbing...

The cat sprites should be something like 64px square (but I can really make any consistent size work)

The farts should be simple enough, I imagine a variety of fart options with different effects/looks/clouds/sounds... I could do this... I'd say don't worry about making these, but I suspect you'll want to, because it's funny.

I also imagine that a winner here would possibly be asked to do other work on this project, for other actions/poses and perhaps similar feeling creatives for other characters, items, etc. (burritos!)

• cat sprites with basic movements of fly up, left, right, land, and idle
• cat sprites should be something like 64px square (but I can really make any consistent size work)

• bonus for anything you think would be fun to have in this game.
• more articulations in sprites.
• farts of various kinds (perhaps a few variations of a specific fart as it disapates)
• items like burritos, a can of beans, etc
• cuteness
• jokes

Should not have

• your boring day job.... this is goofy fun for kids
