Logo Design Brief
Gallant and Bold (G&B) is a men’s sportswear brand targeted at professional urbanites that have an appreciation for high-end fashion, and champion the pursuit of an active lifestyle by participating regularly in recreational sports and general exercise.
The branded is intended to feel Canadian at heart, drawing its inspiration from our heritage and Celtic roots. The intension is to generate a sense of national pride in the line in much the same way as Pringle of Scotland and Hackett of London.
Our products will be aimed at young urban professionals, and will be of high quality and cost.
The overall objective of our brand is to forge a sense of style that is perceived to have the following characteristics:
Perceived Quality - Similar to Ralph Lauren
Sexual Appeal - Similar to Dolce & Gabbana
Masculinity - Similar to Canterbury of New Zealand
Adventure/ Outdoors - Similar to North Face

Target Market(s)
The general aspiration is to cater the brand to professional urbanites that have an appreciation for high-end fashion, and live a cultured life (i.e. young urban professionals – legal, corporate, finance etc.).
The target demographic will live a healthy and active lifestyle, participating in sporting actives in their leisure time and having an appreciation of premier level team sports (i.e. soccer, rugby, ice hockey etc.).
Given our target demographics’ lifestyle, they can be seen as cultured men who might participate in the following activities during a typical week; team sports, running, cycling, gym and yoga.
The target consumer will have admiration for athletes on top of their game often drawing inspiration from their actions and style (i.e. David Beckham).
Key Characteristics of the Demographic
• Predominately aimed at late twenties/ thirty something male professionals who care about their self-image and have a desire to convey a look of high-end quality while doing exercise
• Like to take pride in their appearance and want to be noticed for the clothes they’re wearing
• Like to convey a modern day alpha male type image of success and wealth
