Logo Design Brief

We need a simple, but stylish and visually pleasing logo for our new radio show called Landfall Radio. This logo must be within a square format to accommodate podcast logo constraints on iTunes, but also be pleasing at the size of about 1/3 of a tablet or laptop screen.
We're open to a variety of designs based off the idea of using an audio wavelength visual to represent a simple mountain range, combining the concepts of audio signals with making landfall from the sea. I did a quick sketch (included) of what we are thinking along the lines of, but even in my simple sketch, the idea was kind of lost in the noise
We're looking for someone to take this rudimentary idea and make it very eye-catching without over-crowding it.
