Logo Design Brief
I need a logo for a new law firm to be named 'Lindsay Street Partners'. The law firm will be an Australian boutique outfit focusing primarily on corporate law (i.e. acting for companies and never individuals). This will be the 'short form' logo and appear on the firm's letterhead, its agreements and potentially also business cards. It would preferably be in black and white and simple / minimalist. Feel free to ask questions if there is more information or guidance required.
EDIT: Sorry, I posted the brief before looking at what other briefs look like. I would prefer the logo to look more like something a design company or architecture firm would have, rather than a traditional law firm. The business is intended to adopt innovative practices and technologies and we want to distinguish ourselves from the more established traditional law firms.
Target Market(s)
Small to Micro Cap ASX listed companies / Australian tech and mining startup companies

Logo Text
Either 'Lindsay Street Partners', or something that identifies the firm's name. I don't mind abstract if it helps keep the logo simple.

Requirements
Nice to have
- I tried to come up with something that just said the firm's name in a simple black box and was told it was 'absolutely terrible' so now I need professional support (EDIT: Have now provided them to the brief). It should be simple but not look so basic that it comes across as unprofessional.
- The logo should look like something an architecture / design oriented company would use rather than a traditional law firm.
Should not have
- No street signs.
