Logo Design Brief
I need a logo designed for my website which is called Peak Poker Mindset (dot com). I'm am a psychologist by training and an avid poker player. I offer consulting and training to other poker players on mindset issues.
I teach players how to manage emotions so that they can play at their best. I also stress optimization through the use of clinically evidence based techniques. My new site will offer video training as well as books, workbooks, workshops, etc. on psychological topics of interest to poker players. The goal of the site is to educate players on the importance of peak performance training (as well as offering downloadable &streaming products).
Currently, the business has a site name PeakPokerMindset.com
I will use this logo on apparel & merchandise in the future.
I desire a logo that is professional and modern looking. It also needs to appeal to men. It should inspire confidence and credibility.

- Must have a modern and sophisticated look that inspires trust.
- Must appeal to a predominantly male audience while not being off-putting to females.
- Must communicate that this is a place of education - I'll be teaching people how to optimize their mindset.
Nice to have
- Eye catching design that will also look good if used on apparel, mugs, etc.
- I'm not wedded to a color scheme.
- A friend just had a logo made through this site for his poker school which I quite like - I've attached a pic down at the bottom. I do not want to copy - but this is at least a starting point. The spade is often used in poker imagery, but a club might also look quite nice.
Should not have
- Should not be overtly feminine or "cutesy" - nor should it look like it's a pop-psychology site. I offer clinically evidenced based techniques for poker players that are based on empirical research.
- Red as a color tends to be overdone in the poker industry.
