Signage Design Brief
We are a small charity called The Free Pantry. We have a 2014 Chevrolet Express cargo van that we use to pick up produce and deliver it to our events where we distribute healthy food to low income families. We work with a sign company that can make nice vinyl signage, but they are not good at design. I'm attaching the mockups from the sign company that shows our actual van with some of the information we want on it. This is included ONLY to show you our van (do not include phone #) - we do not like their design - it is too simple and has many problems in our opinion. For guidelines on our desired design, please see below. We want a stylish and attractive design that incorporates the following:
- The Free Pantry logo (attached)
- Our website www.TheFreePantry.com, with some words indicating to volunteer or donate, go to that website. Basically, we just want anyone who sees the van to understand that they should go to our website if they would like to volunteer for our events or donate. However you can accomplish that will be fine. We are flexible.
- Our mission "Sharing healthy food, love and hope with those in need."
Also, we own a small restaurant that we use to support the charity. We would also like:
- True Seasons Organic Kitchen logo (attached), maybe on the doors or somewhere where it is obviously less significant than the free pantry. Also, include "Sponsored by" above or around this logo, to indicate the restaurant's support of the charity.
We would like the design to be elegant but eye-catching, and very easy to read (even when driving). The whole vehicle does not need to be covered, but please feel free to be creative - as long as it has the basic information we desire, we are open to any creative design, including those with graphical elements. We are excited to see the designs. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Requirements
Must have
- Most important: Design must fit on a 2014 Chevrolet Express van. I will confirm with the printer that the design fits before I give final approval.
- The nonprofit (The Free Pantry) logo largest and most eye-catching. Website and mission also clear and easy to read, even while moving. See brief for more details.
- Secondarily, restaurant logo with website, smaller and much less significant, but still easy to read.
Nice to have
- We would like the design to be elegant but eye-catching, and very easy to read (even when driving). The whole vehicle does not need to be covered, but please feel free to be creative - as long as it has the basic information we desire, we are open to any creative design, including those with graphical elements.
- Some graphics to liven up the design would be nice. Overall, elegant but still warm and inviting.
Should not have
- Hard to read fonts (small, extreme effects, etc.)
- Logos or graphics in odd places. The car doesn't have to be totally covered - if it's good design, we'll cover it, but white space is ok with us if it's the best design.
- Do not include the phone number please.
