Logo Design Brief
Require a logo for our LED lighting company. We specialize in linear led lighting and aluminum profile. Our website is pretty basic right now but you can find it at www.nichelighting.ca. We have a basic temporary logo to get us going.
We sell linear LED products to both the electrical channel and to the custom installation and automation channels. The main products are LED strip lights and aluminum profile of different configurations to place the LED strip in. Some of the product we buy and some of it we have custom manufactured. There is a lot of poor quality Chinese made product on the market. We have been in the lighting system design business for years and we are providing a higher specification product in the market place.
One of our manufacturers is Coxo. http://www.coxotech.com. This will show you an example of some of the products. Electricians and Custom installers may be our main customers but we will have many applications and examples on our website and we are looking to create and build our brand. Other competitors to one degree or another would be "LED World" and "Superbright LED's". We will have a much smaller range of products and a lot more high-end applications and control systems. Here are some of our control system components that we resell (http://www.fibaro.com/en/the-fibaro-system/rgbw-controller). Smart phones are some of our most popular control interface. LED's are around 5 times more efficient than conventional lamps and therefore save a lot of energy. Many of the products are used for cove and cabinet lighting in higher end residential applications.
The Logo will be printed at manufacture on all of our LED strip lighting. so it needs to be simple enough to be reproduced very small (approx 1cm).

Requirements
Must have
- The logo must look good as just black or white in addition to something color. It does not have to have more than one color. We also need multiple versions, including SQUARE, Horizontal and Vertical. Also if there is some sort of symbol or non-text design component, it should be able to stand on its own as well like for a favicon or on swag, etc.
Nice to have
- Works well with no background for placing in video and on web pages I selected Red, Green, and Blue because those are standard display colours for LED. I might consider using those in the graphic to the side of the text in the logo. The logo images I attached are just an example for the use of RGB in LED graphics.
Should not have
- Do not want complicated images that are hard to reproduce or that require many colors to look good. The logo can look good in 3D but should not need to be in 3D to look good.
