Thank-you for the question and insight

Our feel is if the bear is "animated" it would not be too scary looking. Animated should translate to fun looking is the hope.

Appreciate the interest and question very much.

Regards,

Jeff

Hi there! Do you have a specific color palette in mind aside from the bear itself. For example, the text, eye patch, or skis?

Thanks!

Excellent question, thank-you

I wish I could respond with exact pantone colours but I am not there yet

I specifically posted a picture of the front of the commercial property today. The current business is called Subculture. The building is a yellow/orange colour that does not translate very well in the picture. The windows are a black and the brick front is what I think would be called pastel type of brown ... I will try to ascertain a close pantone colour this week to help

In my opinion a children's store should have eye catching colours that stand out but some that match the building

Sorry if this is not helpful and I do appreciate the question

This was a lot of help. Thanks for you quick response! I'll keep that all in mind with my revisions.

Is there any way to get feedback, though?

by Project Owner on Tuesday, October 8, 2013

Sincere apologies regarding not responding to all of the entries to date.  I have purposely not responded (except for questions of course) simply because I want to look at over the designs over a number of days.  As an example, I have warmed up to some early submissions which was not my initial reaction.

That being said, you need feedback.  I have blocked Saturday morning to reply to every design received. Sorry if this is not ideal, simply too many tasks to do starting up a new business ...

Hi. I understand that yo u need a break to give feedback and see what fits better your needs. Buy I have sent you a sketch , as an idea, and if I get no reply I can not work on it. Is a lot of work and just want too know is the good direction. Feedback is very important negative or positive to get the most from designers. Looking forward your reply. TY Vlad

General comments in addition to individual ones sent to most of you

We are leaning towards a younger type bear

We are leaning towards a pirate hat or eye patch or belly patch or paw patch that has a skull and crossbones with a bear versus human crossbones

We are leaning towards the bear on the left and the company name and candy, clothes and toys on the right

We are also leaning to the designs that have seen the picture on line and have tried to incorporate some of those colours.

We are also leaning to designs that creatively have added jelly beans in some manner

I am sorry my timeline does not meet everyones approval. We simply have Cap X, POS systems, security systems, lighting, flooring, legal, accounting, hiring staff and initial orders for all suppliers. Thank-you for the interest and efforts put in by all. I will commit to responding to each submission regardless if we think it is close or not.

No disrespect intended at all, just sharing our facts ...
