Logo Design Brief
I'm starting up a small machine shop as a hobby/side business and need a simple logo that i can use on invoices, t-shirts etc.
I'm looking for a design that represents the industrious period of the early 1900's in the US.
I've uploaded some samples that I like.

Requirements
Nice to have
- I like the white on black and the white on blue of the Jack Daniel's and Cotton Belt logos. Maybe incorporate either a star or stars like the Starbucks logo? I also like the rays of the sun in the Southern Pacific logo.
Needs to be simple; two or three color.
