Logo Design Brief

Logo Design for a Mortgage company. Multiple color schemes green & gold, Navy & Gold, Black & Gold, and Black & Red) as we aren't sure of the exact color scheme we want to move forward with yet. The logo needs to have a house and a path incorporated into it somehow. I've uploaded some samples, but want something sharper, and more professional looking. We aren't looking for something canned. We also like the idea of turning the letter A in the word mortgage into a house (roof line) and making a path into that letter somehow.
