eBook Cover Design Brief
First time author needs a cover design for an ebook titled "Dancing Hours". The book is fiction and follows a smalltown southern teenage girl who loves to dance and dreams of world travel (particularly Paris & the Eiffel Tower) as she moves to Los Angeles and her life takes an unexpected romantic turn. Her grandmother, who has a few secrets, is an important person in her life. It is often hard for our protagonist to tell who the "good guys" are from the "bad guys".
A concept idea would be a young woman with one foot in a small town and the other in a big city. Other backdrops that might make for a good cover are fireworks, a young woman/women dancing (ballet or rockettes type), the Eiffel Tower or a young woman in a very bright, colorful 50s style dress with red shoes.
Any color scheme will work as long as the look will appeal to primarily female readers 18-45 (so somewhere between young/edgy and elegant). I need something that's going to make people want to give this book a chance when they haven't heard of the author.
Cover size is 6 in. x 9 in.
