Logo Design Brief

We would like to have a better logo design. Attached is our current logo. We are looking for a regular logo as well as a short hand logo. Either a "N" or "NC" logo. We are a ready mix concrete delivery company. Our trucks do not look like traditional "barrel" concrete trucks so we don't want a logo with a barrel in it. I also attached pics of similar trucks. Our colors are red and black and would like to incorporate the American flag into the logo but not a must have. Our style trucks are sometimes called Auger Trucks. I've attached some pics of augers that could be incorporated into the design.
