Graphic Design Brief

I need a Lapel Pin design for a Shriners Convention.
It will be given to other Shriners during the convention... its non commercial, but It relays the work we do in our different jurisdictions, providing medical services for children in our Shriners Hospitals for Children in the U.S.
The Pin should be 1 inch x 1 inch (slightly larger if need be).
I have attached a general idea of what I would like you to develop... the north american continent shaking hands with the south american continent over Panama, which is our operations center.
