Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for my consulting business. I am an independent consultant that will be working with software manufacturers and professional audiovisual integration companies to help them better understand how to make great software for their customers. I believe that my job will often involve helping people understand each other better, as much as it will be about conveying technical or process knowledge.

I would like the logo to convey emotion, energy and creativity. The logo should stand on its own, without text. I like logos that are personified in people's minds. Example: The TiVo guy, or my prior company's logo (www.trms.com). Please don't copy those logos! :)

[ I'm not specifically looking for a person or "guy" as a logo. I'm more looking for a logo that has the suggestion of a character that I would want to have a positive emotional connection with. ]

Please stay away from the color yellow.

Also, I will contract with smaller (usually smaller) software companies. Examples: www.reachus.tv, www.ucview.com, www.visix.com

At these firms, I'll be talking to upper management, including the ownership. I'll also interact with technical people, including software developers.

Requirements

Must have

• Emotion. A feeling of connection. Positive energy. The logo should feel like a sunny day drawn with a crayon, but it should not look like it belongs to or is associated with a child.

Nice to have

• Generally, with design, I prefer ones that are opinionated. If a design does not have haters, then it's probably not important.

Should not have

• The color yellow.
