Logo Design Brief

We are an IT technical consulting company specializing in Google maps style software development work (GIS - Geographic Information Systems). These logos often incorporate some sort of map or globe picture but this is not mandatory. I also would like it to avoid coming across as "You Low Tech" it should read as ULO one word and then Tech, if Ulo is somehow more of a combined symbol, eg O inside L inside U.... I have included primitive example, not mandatory to be anything like this.
