Logo Design Brief

We need a new adaptation on our Santa Parade logo. The Farmers Santa parade is a major annual event in Auckland, New Zealand, and celebrates the start of Christmas and the holiday/festive season.
We want something fun, full of Christmas and child friendly. The logo must be transferable on to all our representation; email, letterhead, business cards, T - shirts, posters, cross street banners and signage. It should communicate fun, fantasy and the Holiday season! Also modern and contemporary. Below is more information on what the parade is and means:

• A Charitable Trust organises and stages the annual Farmers Santa Parade for the greater Auckland community at the start of the Festive Season. The iconic event thrills and delights thousands of families who line the city streets to watch this magical Christmas spectacle. The Parade brings together New Zealanders in a safe environment to celebrate the festive season, with many groups multi-generational. The Parade helps build a sense of community and is a catalyst for reflection and celebration of its cultural diversity, and creating life long memories.

“I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the Santa Parade again this year. We have travelled down from Warkworth each year for the past 8 years with our now 4 children, and wouldn’t miss it for the world, and of course I have memories of coming as a child myself a long, looooong time ago!
Well done for another great parade and for the delight brought to so many people. It has become a tradition in our family that we all look forward to, and for my mum (almost 70), with my 2 year old snuggled on her lap, she said ‘this is Christmas for me’.”

Requirements

Must have

• The Farmers and New Zealand Herald logos must be part of the Logo. It must communicate 'Christmas and celebration'.
• It must be fresh, modern, contemporary.
• Must be Legible.
• We need the core colours of the logo to be purple white and red, but you do not have to use all three. The text of the logo is Farmers (their logo) Santa Parade in association with The New Zealand Herald (their logo).

Nice to have

• Easy to read type face

Should not have

• Must not be too complicated.
• Must not change the colors of the Sponsor logos (Farmers & New Zealand Herald)
