Logo Design Brief

we are a small business needing a design for business cards and for sign writing on vehicles etc.
we do excavations for building companies etc.
Was thinking of doing something with the first initial of our family - Adam,Tracey,William and Henry , example W.H.A.T Excavaton - with the W being the teeth on a excavator bucket and the arm and body creating a question mark, just an idea see what you guys come up with. Would like an excavator in the logo though please. Alternatively you can use wallace earthworks but seems a bit boring.
