Logo Design Brief

We are a new company of (old) political journos who are starting up a business that gives geopolitical and global political risk advice to a variety of businesses (namely financial institutions at this stage). We are called 'Accum Intell Pty Ltd'
It's a pretty safe name and a pretty dry product, but we are keen for some sort of logo that represents depth of knowledge, a global scope and the ability to provide a complete picture (fill in the gaps with the business' political understanding). Open to any colour ideas, but due to the nature of our work, it would be safer to avoid traditional political colours (like red, yellow, emerald green or royal blue).
