Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for my company ArtCatalog (artcatalog.com). I'm not sure if I should use the .com with the title or not. The dot (.) could be in a circle like this (dot) com or something whimsical like that. See prints.com? Use your best judgment.

Perhaps a mockup of both could be done. One for my website with the .com and one for my eBay store without the .com. I'm open to suggestions.

Anyway, we sell a vast variety of artwork via our eBay Store. Please visit http://stores.ebay.com/ArtCatalog for updated site. Having a graphic with the text and icon horizontal and then another graphic with the text and then the icon below would be appreciated.

I'd like it to obviously reflect the concept of an "art catalog". I'm thinking a color palette of black/dark gray/light gray and a touch of red or maybe slight off white and beige as other options.

Please feel free to experiment. We would like the design to be FRIENDLY/FUN yet high quality/professional look. We like the DesignCrowd website look with their whimsical graphics such as their clock, dollar bills, etc.

I really like DesignCrowd's header font/text style (see attached), but I am open to other possibilities.

Must have

• An art catalog graphic with the title ArtCatalog. I've included the text style I really like from DesignCrowd - It says ArtCatalog.com (see attachment). That font style with something like a palette, paint brush, or catalog. Please feel free to use your imagination.
• Friendly fun look like DesignCrowd website. Logo should seamlessly blend with whimsical graphic attached. A clean design with a few coordinating colors (black and gray and white and a touch of red), but I'm open to other color schemes. No orange, green, blue, pink, or purple please.

Nice to have

• An option with a .com (dot) com and a not .com. Looking for neutral colors (black/dark gray/light gray and a splash of red perhaps in the title and/or graphic/icon. A palette icon can have paint colors. I've include an idea.jpg attachment with the style I kind of am looking for with the font and graphic, but I'm open to different ideas.

Should not have

• (1) Super fancy, elegant, or curvy font/text or people caricatures.
• (2) Please, no logos with the letters "A" and "C" predominantly featured.
• (3) Avoid colors such as purple, orange, and pink unless in a palette graphic.
