Card Design Brief

To design a birthday card that can be mailed to individuals who are about to turn either 50 or 60 (card will be mailed the month of their birthday). We are a Domestic Central Heating / Boiler Installation company based UK.


Within the card there will be a promotional message / discount voucher. The purpose of the card is to Generate Enquiries and promote our trading name/logo
Our appearance needs to be professional, safe, trusted and reliable.
We have two current incentives:
1. The Welsh Gas Price Promise - "We guarantee to beat a British Gas new boiler installation quote by at least 15%"
2. £500 Part Exchange / Scrappage Allowance on all boilers over 5 years old

Must have
  • Clean, Crisp, Eye Catching, Corporate Feel, Attractive enough to ensure the receiver looks inside!
Nice to have
  • Be presentable enough to ensure a place on the mantelpiece! Ideas or themes that I have written down - Van, logo, engineer with gifts calling at house? / Energy efficient + reducing bills and saving money / Post it Note / Target market 50+, perhaps something that ties in with central heating in the 1960''s or 70''s? Something that identifies with the age of the receiver.
Should not have
  • Welsh Dragon / Flag or any of the tourist images conjured up when you think of Wales
