Logo Design Brief

Hey guys,
I'm starting a tiling and Renovations business in Adelaide, Australia, and would love a clean, simple and iconic design for my company logo. I'm 26 year old hipster wannabe and looking for something slightly above generic in a very generic industry.
It does not have to include all the words in my buisness name, or any of the words for that matter, a simple logo, or even use of the letters CCTR is all I'm looking for. If an image gives meaning to the words, that's perfect!
An area that id like to move into eventually is mosaics, which could be a cool logo direction, but thats up to you, just an idea.
Something that's easily transferable to buisness cards, t-shirts and web pages, and will appeal to a designer as much as it will appeal to a middle-aged home renovator.
I will try to be more specific with some examples, as I know vague ideals and descriptions are hard to work with.

Requirements

Must have

• Simplicity and class. Minimal colours.

Nice to have

• Something that incorporates tiles, (being cut maybe?) but also incorporates a bit of personality. I like good clothes, I have a moustache, I love good coffee, excellent wine, and can tell you the names of most local indie bands. No doubt the least helpful things I could say, sorry!

Should not have

• Lots of colours, comic sans font,
