Logo Design Brief

We need a logo designed for a printing/signage business called Planman Printing & Signs. The business was previously named Planman Print & Copy, but in recent years has expanded to offer a much wider range of printing, full scale signage and other related services, such as 3D Printing / Laser cutting & engraving etc... The business is based in Cairns, Australia.

The logo should just have the name "Planman," but I'd also like to have an extended version with "Printing & Signs" also included as a minor element.

If the logo is done using full colour, it must also be recognisable with single colour format as well so it can be used with laser etching/cutting.

Previous logo attached for reference only, I want something new and different, it's up to you whether you if you think you can make it link it back to the old one in some way. I had also used an inverted format of the old logo with black background as well.
