Illustration Design Brief

Book Cover: 5.5 x 8.5 with bleed. Left side of book cover will be a continuation of of the cover's "Fairy land" background. (PAGE SIZE: 11.875 X 5.75 (template attached for size and spine width needed.)

FRONT COVER: One lead prominent Warrior fighter holding his glowing sword to the sky looking at one of the Fossil bats flying away with a Fairy and Warrior
in it's rib cage. Sword has green jewels on the handle

The background of front & back of book needs to be located in "Land of the fairies" with mushroom houses in ruins from a battle going on with the
Warriors against the Fossil bats. The sky needs to have 2 moons, similar to sample that is attached.


WARRIOR SWORD DESCRIPTION: Long, metal sword showing a reflective magical glow. Green Crystals are placed on the sword handle.

ABOUT FAIRY LAND: Fairy land was quite beautiful, even in the dark of night. the fairy’s manifested mushrooms into houses.

The fairy's were beautiful. Long flowing hair that matched their wings. Big round peaceful eyes that made you quiver when they looked at you. (See Sample)

ABOUT FOSSIL BATS: Fossil bats, large flying beasts with black skeletons were illuminated by the beams. Their eyes glowed bright gold. Their ribs encased
themselves like a cage, used to capture the fairies. They swallowed them into their hollow bellies. The beasts needed the wings of the fairies to regain their beauty. (I need one warrior and fairy in the rib cage of the bat. Doesn't have to have much detail, just so you can see them.) (Sample bat attached but no body, just ribs.)

The village was being destroyed. The bats knocked down houses, created fires and destroyed all their crops. Devastation was horrendous; fires, smoke, etc.

Please understand, the name of the book is "THE LAND OF THE BLADES" the story is about a small village that lives in the grass.
So you must incorporate long blades of grass around as well. Maybe on the sides of the front cover and the side of the back cover.

Bat and Warrior on the right side of the book (front cover). the left will be just the background extended. I will take care of text info and bar code, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: This MUST be ORIGINAL ART from you and rights to use in any way are automatically transferred to me after completed job. No cut & paste jobs from other artist's illustrations.

I am attaching different photos of art for your review so you know what style I am looking for.
