Logo Design Brief

We need a logo designed for an annual event called "Science2Startup". The event will be a platform to facilitate researchers from academic institutes to turn their scientific discoveries into viable startup ideas, hence the name “Science2Startup”. For example, there will be a mentoring program, pitching sessions, and networking opportunities with the VC community to help researchers refine their company idea and connect with potential investors.

We are looking for a logo that is cleanly designed and that communicates our theme of translating academic science into startup companies to develop therapeutic medicines. The logo should include both an icon and a word-mark. The word-mark should use the event name “Science2Startup” and the icon might incorporate our abbreviation of "S2S" though it does not have to. The text “an AFS Event” should be included as a sub-text to the word-mark.

Nice to have

• It would be cool to see an option with the "S2S" abbreviation incorporated into the icon.
• We like dark blues, greens, oranges, and grays. See the websites for Atlas Venture, F'Prime Capital, and SV Health Investors for brand colors to match.
