Invitation Design Brief

I need a joint 40th birthday party invitation. The theme of the party is James-Bond-style glamour, with a leaning towards Casino Royale (the original), however it is NOT a fancy dress party! The invitation should be understated, simple and high-end with minimal text.

Text should read:

Please refer to the attached documents for examples of the design style we are trying to achieve.

As it is a joint party, the invite should reference both James Bond and a Bond Girl (silhouette or 1960's imagery). Colour pallet should be all black, black and white or black and gold. The design needs to include printing effects, such as gold embossed on matt black, or black gloss text on matt black background.

The guest should have the impression that the party will be an achingly cool, glamorous cocktail party NOT a kitsch fancy dress party. The party is costing AUD$20k to host and the invite needs to reflect this.

• Fussy design (page filled with too much imagery or text)
• New illustrations - use existing imagery
