Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new company called 'Digital G', which is a company separated from a major construction firm called Gammon Construction with business in HK, Singapore and Vietnam. Digital G is targeted to provide cutting-edge wireless sensor products and technical solutions for the construction industry with target customer base and market beyond the current company Gammon. Its competitive edge is the focus on niche wireless sensor products through strategic alliances with start-up businesses highly advanced in this area e.g. spun off from renowned universities like Cambridge. Our initial product line is a system of wireless sensors installed in construction sites to advise real-time data on site on geotechnical and structural aspects such as ground movements nearby due to construction works, structural performance of the steel supports on site that facilitate construction works. Digital G will also provide technical interpretation of the data for the use of the Project Manager on site, or the Client i.e. the developers. In longer term, these sensor solutions will also wider aspects such as concrete strength monitoring, life-time monitoring of structures and possibly worker's health and safety tracking etc. Digital G targets to revolutionize traditional construction industry from manual recording taking to digital data and analytics through advanced technology, which is to cope with the future world full of digitized workflow ultimately achieving much higher productivity and efficiency in all aspects. We would like to see designs and color tone that give the feeling of 'digitalisation' and 'intelligence', relating to construction industry. The final design should communicate efficiency and improved productivity for the traditional construction industry.
