Logo Design Brief

The Franciscan Mission Association, or FMA, is a fundraising office of the Franciscan Friars Conventual, a global Catholic religious order of men, which assists the Friars in doing charitable work in developing countries around the world. We build schools, hospitals, dig wells for water, help with agricultural development, visit the sick, the imprisoned, the outcast. In short, we go to help the world's poor have a better life.

We had a very old logo which we stopped using about ten years ago and never had another one made. We currently only use our name in the Lithos font. At this point, we really need a visual logo which conveys our work.

We do a lot of work in Africa, Asia, and Latin America so I would like the see shades of brown and/or green and/or blue representing the earth, water, plants, and people of these parts of the world. The design should convey care, hope and optimism. I could use the same Lithos font or a better one the designer chooses.

The org doesn't have a website yet, either, but the parent org's website is www.olaprovince.org. This could give some visual ideas of who the friars are.
