Book Cover Design Brief

Looking for a design on my newest chemistry book, the full title is "AceOrganicChem's Organic Chemistry Notebook". It is a book of special graph paper to allow students to take notes in class more easily. The graph paper is hexagonal, it is very important that any cover show this. For reference, i have attached two images from a competitor's book. I like the competitor's cover design, but think it is too bland. I would like mine to catch the eye more. A benefit of the book is that it makes taking notes in class quicker and easier. A feature of the book is that it comes with other help in chemistry in the front and comes with 2 free ebooks. The title of the book will be "Organic Chemistry Notebook". Cover should be 8.5"x11". Please contact me anytime with question, thanks so much!!
