Logo Design Brief

This logo is for a website of a company specializing in Machine Learning. An example of such a company is this website (but it is not related to our company):
http://www.webtunix.com

The name of the Company, AltaML, comes from its origins in Alberta, Canada (where "Alta" is a shortform for "Alberta") - and "Machine Learning". Hence "Alta" + "ML". Alberta, Canada is known for its high and striking Rocky Mountains and, as a design consideration, could be incorporated into the logo.

The logo should have a bright shiny, "new" look with reflective surfaces and/or gradients - flat or solid colors would be considered only as a second choice. The logo design and maybe upper case, all lower case or a combination, even though to date we have differentiated the 2 parts of the name, the "ML" is capitalized.

Three colors should be dominant:
Gold #DAA520
Blue #005072
Black #000000

The attached jpg is a very rough idea of some options. #1 is the first attempt we did BUT JUST FOR DISCUSSION PURPOSES. This attempted to incorporate a stylized "mountain" and differentiated the "Alta" and "ML" parts of the name.
The #2 is another example of a stylized mountain that we liked - especially because it could be the basis of a favicon.
The #3 logo is our Provincial government logo and has a good way of offering a stylized "A" and lower case lettering.
The #4 is another logo of the Provincial government in a script font-type look. It is another design possibility...?

We also have a strong preference for a horizontal arrangement (graphic followed by "AltaMl" text), rather than image and text stacked - suitable with both a White background and/or transparent background. Keep in mind that he logo must be recognizable at smaller viewports like iPhones - so it there will be limited space for much details. The logo should be able to degrade in size nicely as it is displayed from desktop to tablet to smartphone.

We require the following deliverables:
a) CMYK printing of the complete logo/graphic in both solid and gradient form in .eps format, and
b) Web/Desktop/Digital graphics of the complete logo/graphic with both solid and gradient forms as well in .psd (complete with layers!) and .png formats, and
c) a favicon graphic .psd (complete with layers!) and .png format where the design is square (equal height and width)
d) The name and source (preferably a URL) of all fonts used, if any

If you completed in .ai form, feel free to also include those, however it is VERY IMPORTANT that we get a .psd with proper layering and not an .ai graphic converted to a single layer .psd
