Logo Design Brief

JJ&RAY (name of the duo), female + male, indie, logo will be our brand focus will go on business cards, posters, we want it to be transferable to merchandise and synonymous with our music; two files I've attached is pictures of us so you can get a feel of who we are
We are classic not classy, we are refuge for people's day, our energy is like getting ready to take out your vintage car for a spin. You turn the engine, put on the choke, warm her up slowly and then put your foot to the floor and let her rip.
Joe is a Byron boy who moved to Melbourne to Melbourne, Renae is a Melbourne born girl who travelled Australia with her whole family for 8 years and came back to Melbourne to call it home. JJ&RAY are honest and passionate about music and where that deep desire "to love to play" comes from - it's in their bones.

Requirements

Must have

• Cool, Fun and Bold Logo, something that won't go out of style, classic but edgy.
• Where possible represent masculine + feminine JJ is the guy + Ray is the girl (if that helps)
• We are both very free spirited, loving people, we like to put good energy into life, our influences come from artists like Neil Young, Tracy Chapman, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Etta James, The Marshall Tucker Band, Gary Clark Jnr, Dolly Parton etc

Nice to have

• If the business card could be cool but simple, not uber corporate, we want suit and ties to hire us but we don't want to wear one
• our instagram handle @JJ&RAY would be great to add to the card (if we can)

Should not have

• cheese, no cheese, we want this logo to stay strong without us thinking "what were we thinking...?"
