Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for our Youth Wrestling Club. We are the Warriors. We were thinking of a SPARTAN with a spear and a shield (think 300). The logo should communicate strength and no mercy. We want the LM on the shield and the word WARRIORS underneath or somewhere else on the logo. We want to separate logos. One with word Warriors and one without. Our logo should be clean looking not cartoonish. Our colors are black, red and white. A little gray is ok too.

I am uploading our old logo and a sample of one we thought was ok, but used by someone else.
