Graphic Design Brief
We need someone with significant skill and expertise to complete a portrait cover for which we have an incomplete set of files. The original designer is unavailable due to protracted health issues. We have some urgent print deadlines. We understand for for the highly skilled photoshop artist it should doable quite quickly. i will send all the files I have. we have an illustration of the final product desired and most of the components, but need a print ready 300dpi edition ASAP. we had one attempt which layout-wise is great but washed out the color saturation of the original, making it pale and anemic. For the successful designer there will be the possibility of another project coming up in the near future released to this one. This is a humanitarian project, the goal of which is to see 10,000 Mozambique landmine amputees walk again. The book is the story of Florencia who is a 20 year old single mother in the bush of Mozambique. She trod on a mine. Through a remarkable series of 'accidental' events, involving three continents, she now can walk hand in hand with her little boy, Guildo. The digital edition is an Amazon Best Seller. Thank you so much for having a crack at this.
One observation - on the desirable cover saturation their is a problem of a kind of 'Orange Rind " around the male figure in Portrait mode. wow are assuming some kind of feathering/ tapering effect could remove it. Thanks

So Sorry designersI missed the Best Seller sticker which should be an angle in the picture. Please 'spot' the strange 'orange circle' effect around the man in the background. Looks dorky.ThanksDouglasHelpOneWalk International Added Saturday, October 28, 2017
Thank you to all designers so far, for your attempts. I am going to upload a close up - that depicts what becomes a problem at various sizes which we plan on using for a variety of purposes. If you could look it over and make adjustments that would be great. We do like the one line at the top in the yellow, not but or outlined or in a font that makes it stand out more than the graphic. Added Tuesday, October 31, 2017

Subject: low-rez pdf layout 9x12.5 including spine
Hey john,
Attaching a low-rez layout of the cover. 9x12.5.. Spine is showing between the two black lines.1/2 inch.
The pdf is showing what needs to be done overall. The size of the document needs to be reduce to 12.5x9. Images can be smaller, fonts and spacing.
Is just a matter re-working the layout. Have the designer move stuff around so it fits. Should not be hard. Just please make sure they give us extra image around the whole cover .25 quarter of inch.
Hope it helps.
