Logo Design Brief

I need a logo for my newly opened real estate company in Minneapolis, MN. Company name Excelsior Realty. This is a full service real estate brokerage. 70-80% of my business comes from banks/ asset management companies. We specialize in bank owned properties/ short sales. I also work with regural residential buyers, sellers, investors.

I am looking for more corporate style logo. Something clean, powerfull, cutting edge, representing good quality & trust. My goal is to develop a local brand over the time. It should be good for print, web, as well as outdoor/ For Sale sign advertising. Logo must be compact, eye catchy, classic colors, not too many details.

We want to avoid homes and roof lines in the logo design. Should not look cheap, carnoon type, cute, or bulky. Ideally prefer to have pictorial, lettermark, or abstract logo icon in the logo design (can make exception if we see something unique)
