Logo Design Brief

We are a popular, high-growth Marketing-Tech SaaS business called BrightLocal (www.brightlocal.com)

We work with over 40,000 digital marketing agencies & freelancers across the world. We provide them with a suite of online reporting tools ('software') that help them analyse how their clients are performing in local search engines such as a Google local, Google maps, Yelp, Tripadvisor etc...

Founder in 2009, and based in Brighton (in the UK), we have a well established brand with defined colour palette and visual language.

We are looking to refresh our brand in 2018 and want to develop a new logo that incorporates a brand icon with our brand name.

This task focuses on developing a unique & relevant Brand Icon that represents -

1. Our offering - marketing analytics platform that reports on online, local performance* for local-focused businesses.

*Performance = search rankings, rankings on Google maps, local business listings, data inaccuracies, reviews & star ratings on review sites

2. Our brand & values -

a) Approachable

- we're friendly and always willing to help; we provide customers with excellent support and answer 80% of questions within 2 hours. We have a 'can-do' attitude and always try to find a solution to our customers needs.

b) Professional

- we have excellent knowledge our industry as well as our software. We're able to advise customers on best practice strategies to to help them & their clients; we conduct research into trends and behaviours affectingand run educational webinar series to help them improve. We're happy to share our knowledge but we're never aloof or arrogant in helping

c) Confident

- We are good at what we do and confident that our service is high quality and great value for customers. But we're never arrogant or aloof.

d) Honest

- we're open and friendly to work with. We consider ourselves 'partners' not 'suppliers'. We're straightforward in our dealings and transparent in our pricing. When we can't answer a question or aren't able to help a customer with an issue then we tell them that.
