Graphic Design Brief
I have a specific map I would like enhanced and customized for a gift. I want to add color between the land and lakes, font for new custom landmarks, and (hopefully) remove grid lines. Possibly adding a legend as well. I have all the files and information ready. The original map file I have is very large, so it's sitting in a shareable dropbox folder. I'm uploading a smaller version for reference. The print size will be 4 feet wide and 3 feet tall. My example upload gives a rough direction of the style and where the cropping will be from the original. I want it to look somewhat old/antique-y. The new landmarks are linked to in a google maps file, they need to be added in the correct locations and blended into the existing font style, similar but I'm open to whatever you think looks best. I also have a legend that came with the individual map pieces I purchased, and I'm toying with the idea of including that somewhere over an area that's less important. The important lakes are Pashkokogan, Medcalf, Doran, Thelma, Greenbush, McCrea, and Aldous. The original, full resolution files are in the dropbox folder. The summarize:1. Begin with the original, large black and white map. 2. Crop down to the area referenced in my reference file. Final print will be 4 feet wide, 3 feet tall.3. Remove grid lines if possible.4. Add color for land and water. Any other color or highlights you think would be an improvement for the design given what you're working with.5. Add new font landmarks - referencing a linked google map.6. Possibly add a preexisting legend somewhere in a corner, as long as it does not cover up Pashkokogan, Doran, McCrea, Greenbush, Thelma, Aldous, or Medcalf https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6b2d0mjr6mbgrsb/AACzq4Y9Bbhi5Pv6FM0h6DkGa?dl=0
