Logo Design Brief

We need a logo to mark 100 years of the judicial police of Lausanne, Switzerland. The judicial police division was created in 1918. In 2018, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary. On this occasion, we want to create a logo that we can use on our various communications. Whether on the internet, on paper, or different other media.

Target Market(s)

Requirements

Must have

• On the logo we want to achieve, we must see the two years, ie 1918 which is the creation and the beginning of the judicial police for the city of Lausanne in Switzerland, as well as 2018 which is the year that marks the 100th anniversary of the judicial police of Lausanne. The purpose of the logo and to understand that it represents the 100th anniversary of the Judicial Police of Lausanne. Obviously, the words "police police Lausanne police" must appear on the logo. We must stay in a conservative style with a high-end touch and sober colors. The logo will be used on paper, certainly taken over by social media or traditional presses. We will also make bigger posters, just like small objects. The logo must be legible and understandable for any type of support. Currently, we have no specific idea and wish to let the designer share his imagination for the creation of the logo. As already said, the goal is really to mark the birthday. We have attached the logo of the Lausanne police (this is the general logo used by the police force), as well as the police-relief logo. These are just two examples. As in all the police in the world, the police of the judicial police have police plates, of which a photo can, if necessary to be transmitted later. An exhibition will be organized with old images and the logo will appear on each exhibition that will be organized. In attached file, we added two logo examples. One of the brand Maseratti is very classy and the other motorcycle brand Harley Davidson, which is not bad either. This style is quite nice and gives a classy and elegant touch. Also, that of Maserati is very readable and understandable at first glance.

Nice to have

• A readable font so that a person who sees the logo can quickly understand that it is the 100th anniversary of this institution. Also, this logo will be kept in the archives of the city, it will have to be able to a timeless style.

Should not have

• The logo project is to mark a judicial institution. Avoid too flashy colors, such as fluo, orange or yellow for example. The logo must be modern, but not too fancy. We must also avoid putting handcuffs, pistols or any other object that is certainly reminiscent of a police force, but which would not be adequate for such a presentation.
