We're a small company of experienced web architects with a strong focus on large Ecommerce sites (multi-nationals). We'd like our logo to be simple but sophisticated as it transmits quality, expertise and creativity.
A few minor guidelines: traditionally our logo is a simple "S" (uploaded), but we're open for other ideas.
The logo should be easy to scale. Vector format is a must. It should work as a small square icon but also on a big banner (i.e. several meters long, couple of meters high). It's ok if the smaller versions are a stripped-down version of the main logo (e.g. only the isotype, or only one letter instead of the full word, etc).

Requirements
Must have

- * It should follow general common logo and branding best-practices: e.g. it should look well on black or white backgrounds (or have a different version for each).
- * There should also be a version for transparent backgrounds.
- * Along with the logo please provide brand guidelines including information about the font used, margins, etc.
Nice to have
- * Both a logotype and an isotype
Should not have
- Colors shouldn't be "plain" (e.g. pure red #FF0000), or too "flashy".
