Packaging Design for Premium Bluetooth Speaker

It sounds to me like you need 2 separate things from 2 different entities. The first being the graphic designer who can design any panels of the box. The second being a vender, who would actually manufacture the box and give it proper dimensions an compartments. Anything provided here would be conceptual that you would need to bring to a vendor.
The printer/manufacturer of the box requires the design in order to quote us. It is a designer (albeit probably an industrial designer) that should design the box with its compartments. You are right the exterior panels could actually be designed by a graphic designer.
I agree with M.A.C. - you need separate projects for your needs. As a packaging designer, I create structuresand graphics for all types of products. In this contest environment, it would benefit you to provide a dieline created by the vendor in China (or US?) or an in-house designer who can make sure the structure is accurate - in which they would need the product for measurements and "give". I don't often create the inner pieces for the manual/cords/etc. because that needs to be pretty precise - usually comes from the factory. $300 is not enough to expect someone to create a dieline, graphics AND a logo. You need to submit a project for all 3. Just my 2 cents if you expect to have accurate submissions.
Do you suggest that we increase the price? I don't know if we can do that. The other solution is to only create the dieline for this price. We can create another project for the graphics later if the designers feel that it's too much work.
if you increase the price to 800$, I'm ready to design the package and the design of the package with all the contents in it. But you need to send us a blueprint with the dimensions of the speaker. And of course the dimensions of cords etc. 260 is not enough for this kind of work.
I recommend you making this project a freelance job because as a competition I don't think you can have any good designs.
So the designs I submitted yesterday....I have measurements and flat art for the sleeve, but for the box, I do not. You would need to talk with a vendor who would be manufacturing it to come up with precise dimensions for the inner box and manual case. Also I noticed you came down from your original offer of $350 to $300, what gives?
Hi M.A.C. Design. Thanks for submitting your design. We really liked it. We did not come down on our price; it must be a misunderstanding. We paid about 350 but I believe DesignCrowd actually keeps 50 as a fee. Our vendor can actually produce the box in any dimensions we specify; so it is really up to the design to determine the dimensions of the box. Of course, the only real constraint are the speaker itself (I have sent those dimensions), and the cables and manual (which we will also print according to the design. I will try to upload pictures/dimensions for the cables to make sure your design could fit them. Once we approve the design, the dimensions may change slightly once we create a sample, but they should not change much.
We have increased the budget so that the first place receives $400 because of the confusion. Thanks.
Thank you for the information. I thought maybe I was seeing things.
If you would like to discuss my design please feel free to message me at your convenience.
Thank you for the participation payment. Appreciated.
