Icon Design Brief

AngloINFO’s new website icons (www.angloinfo.com)

Marketing objectives
We would like to have more modern imagery (icons) that help illustrate our main website information categories, as well as the various directory sections.

Icons either need to work as both small and large icons as in the screen shots below, or should be three sets of icons:
a. a set of icons for the different sections of the website
b. a set of 8 information zone icons
c. a set of 18 directory icons

Format
PNG – 16, 32 and 64 pixels
Budget and schedule
We will £135 for the successful design of the 44 icons. We would like to see a range of 5-7 on Monday 27th February where we would pre-select/approve designs and then agree final delivery of all icons on March 2nd.

General description of format:
As mentioned previously, we are talking about 3 sets of icons which can be different (or not). The Business Directory Icons need to work on a small file, whereas the others need to be larger.
We are open to ideas – i.e. single colour (or not), but like the concept of something modern which adds value to the website design wise, as it is quite text heavy.

Description of target audience: Occupation, gender ratio, average age, nationality/location, psychological demographic, lifestyle preferences.
Quite a mix – age ranges from 20-70, all types of lifestyle preferences, in locations across the globe – but most of our active users visit the website on a daily basis and we need to bear this in mind when designing, so it can’t be too tiring.
Message objectives:
Easily identify what section it refers to, so there is a clear call-to-action, but also demonstrate an image of modernity that brings value to the website itself.
