Logo Design Brief

We are I need of a logo for a startup engineering and technology development firm. Our hallmark is unique, innovative, inventive, yet straight-forward design solutions to any technical challenge. We are seeking an equally unique and standout logo design that reflects our technical style. We would like to see sleek, modern boldness in the final design, perhaps through the use of daring color, yet be able to translate to black and white for technical documentation and product etching. Color palette is open otherwise. We are open to a symbol that would be used for product branding, though if the "O" in Outcast is unique enough that might suffice.

Early internal logo concept file attached. Native/tribal font borrowed for conceptual work only (we do not own the rights).
