Logo Design Brief
Hey there potential winner! :D Never done this before, so I am not sure what to expect.
We need a logo design for a Bitcoin conference on March 6, 2014. What is Bitcoin? In a sentence, it is a virtual currency and it is the future. I will provide links at the bottom with more info.
The official name of the conference is "Texas Bitcoin Conference." Creative, right? Well, that is where you come in. This conference will be dedicated to spreading the bitcoin fever, educating newcomers, and opening up the bitcoin market in Austin and Texas. Oh yeah, it will take place at the Circuit of the Americas which is the home of the Formula 1 US Grand Prix. So sick!
We want a bitcoin/texas theme...obviously. We believe a mix of the lone star of Texas, the bitcoin symbol, and our conference acronym, "TXBTC", will do nicely. The "bitcoin gold" is a color that would be nice to have incorporated. Simplicity and scalability will win. In other words, this will be used for pretty much all media until more funding and time is available. The logo will first appear on our website if that helps. By the way, this could be the biggest project you ever work on in your life!! Combining Texas, of all places, with bitcoin, THE future, will make for insane exposure of your artwork. We are shooting for 2000 attendees! We will be around doing all kinds of Texas events for years to come. Who knows what we will ask of you in the future? What are you waiting for? We want this finished by Wednesday. Surprise us.

A badge-like feel is also a positive now, so please consider while designing. If all designers would include a black and white option as well from here on out that will be much appreciated.

Incredible job to all!! There is still no clear winner and there will not be until all of my partners have combed through the selection. I will hand the client links to them now. I expect feedback about midday. Please do continue to submit. I know that I have not provided feedback to all of you, but if your design is still standing then you are up for consideration at this time. Thank you all again for your diligence. I am going to get some shut eye and will attack this again tomorrow.

Well this is my last post for the night. The designs just keep getting better! I know i didnt got to the last three designers but i am pooped. Take a hint as to what we are looking for from the other designs that have made it far.

okay everyone. Thank you so much for all the effort. There is still no clear winner. At this time I will ask for the submissions to cease. Once again do not submit any further designs. I will be sifting through the submissions and will correspond with designers accordingly. If you do not receive any correspondence by 12 a.m. Then your design is no longer being considered. Okay, so all remaining designs have shot. However, my associates have changed their preferences slightly. First off, scrap the acronym. Next, we all would like the Texas shape incorporated. I suggest all other elements residing inside an outline of Texas. The star can go or stay. One of each to be safe. The bitcoin symbol as a symbol only. Our marketing consultant the whole thing should be inside a coin. Add the word conference.
