Logo Design Brief

- slight change from original idea -

Currently established an equestrian centre in gippsland Victoria. starting small, but room to grow big. I am looking for a simple logo which I can use on everything from invoices, cards and embed on work shirts. Lignite is the technical term for brown coal and was selected due to the nearby mine... I am not looking for any connection in the design, other than maybe fire, if it fits the style. I am very open to a wide scope of concepts, however generally speaking.

I am looking for a simple style of logo. I want to use it as a animal/breeder brand and a business logo.
The logo should be :

Alexander Equestrian
Lignite Park

with above or off to the side having a simple logo of a capital 'A' within a shield. Thus in simple design the logo can be used as an animal brand to mark horses that come from this breeder and ongoing as a company logo with a little more detail than the very simple 2D brand.

Also additional points from recent designs. I am really just looking for a simple A within the shield (as per the attached image) with like a gold outline on the shield.
Some of the other designs have been very creative with the A and the horse connection, but I am really just looking for something simple. Again the idea is that the shield with the A will be used as an animal brand, thus can't be too detailed.
