Non-profit organization requires InDesign based template for a educational booklet

Hello, do you have a certain style in mind? For example, do you want the illustrations to be hand-drawn or vector-like? Also, can you please guarantee the project? Thank you!
Hello Soup Lo,
The illustrations/graphics (SE Asian agricultural theme) don't need to be hand drawn but yes they do have to be editable vectors which should come through in a normal InDesign file in the layers. They can be based on real photos or mashed up photos - there is a lot that can be done in Photoshop or illustrator with various overlay techniques.
I am unsure what you mean by guaranteed project - from our commissioning point of view per guidelines in DesignCrowd, the project has requested submissions from designers who submit their suggested work. Thereafter, from the submissions, we select a design we like and usually work with that designer to refine it.
Best wishes,
Chris
Thank you for your answer. In that case, I will do the illustrations/graphics on Illustrator then link it to InDesign. You can freely edit it that way since InDesign is not really the most convenient tool to do illustrations.
And by guaranteed project I meant guarantee payment - but it is alright if you don't want to do it. This project requires lots of illustrations and a guarantee payment is a secured statement for us designers. Again, thank you for answering my questions.
No problems Soup Lo. I really need to see the talent through the suggested submissions - at least that's how I did it in the past. Then from there, I would work with one of them having vetted the submissions. That designer then I would guarantee payment on completion once we have worked through any adjustments to the design. In my last project, I got a lot of amateur graphic designers (designs were quite telling) so I wouldn't guarantee payment for them (if that's how it works). We want a good quality design. I actually do not think illustrations are necessary - I made a simplistic rough design just from using graphics and photos with the SE Asian agric. theme and it looks good - just a little amateurish attempt that can be picked up by people with the design eye. Best wishes, Chris
