We need an invitation for our second annual fundraising event at a small seminary in Philadelphia called Westminster Theological Seminary. We train Christian pastors, scholars, counselors, and missionaries that go out across the U.S. and to many countries. This event is our primary fundraiser, though we do not use the term fundraiser but "Ministry Update."
We would probably like a 5X7 folded card, but we are open to other options. It needs to feel substantial, not too formal or too casual. The event will be at a country club with business casual attire.
Some design elements of the invitation need to be able to be used for the cover of the program for the event.
We have a logo already (attached) and the PMS color we use is 1807. You are welcome to use our seal (attached) as a design element.
We have already made a Save-the-Date (attached)-this has a picture of our main campus building on the front with the font we use for a lot of our print materials.
I've attached our invitation from last year. What I like about it is that it gets the information across. What I don't like is that the front of the invitation just feels like a placeholder-"Your invitation" doesn't tell you anything about the event.
I've also attached a thank-you postcard we send to our donors. I have attached this because I like the fresh feel of this design as compared to many of our more overly ornate designs, such as our outdated website, www.wts.edu, which you can look at to know what NOT to do.
I would like us to have a clean, clear, but still traditional design for this invitation. Serifed fonts are good. Our PMS color is good. Our logo is good.
The invitation needs to include some important information. The front should say somewhere "Second Annual Ministry Update and Dessert." It should also say "Westminster Influencing the Local and Global Church." This is the theme of the evening.
The following information needs to be clear on the inside of the invitation:
The faculty of Westminster Theological Seminary invite you to hear our faculty-authors and distinguished guest speak on
