Logo Design Brief
My company provides structural framing and trim work on high end, multi million dollar homes in the exclusive areas of Scottsdale and Gilbert, AZ. Logo should be strong and masculine but convey a high end, sophisticated feel. Our clients are high end builders and wealthy home owners. Cartoonish or "construction worker" type designs are not desired. I'm open to many different possibilities on color and style. I'm uploading a file of my old logo.

Requirements
Must have
- Strong, striking, masculine design. Must convey a "high end" or sophisticated feel yet still have some elements of construction. My company frames custom homes and also does the trim carpentry (both rough and finish carpentry). Very professional looking.
Nice to have
- The files I uploaded are obviously not exactly what I want but exhibit some of the features I like in a logo. Cool fonts are a must, something sleek and modern or a little unique but not unsophisticated. I like badge designs, I also like stylistic logos with one or two colors and simple designs. I think a construction element (like a saw blade--there is a file I uploaded with one--or a profile of a piece of fancy molding or roof line would be cool as well. Too busy or detailed is probably not desired as I would like it to translate well to business cards, t-shirts, and a vehicle decal. Having said this, I like a variety of approaches so I'm just hoping to find a cool, creative, high end looking logo from one of you professional designers. The column design is one I made myself but it just isn't quite the look I want, although the feel definitely is, that being high end and sophisticated (at least in my amateur opinion).
Should not have
- Cartoonish designs, logos portraying a construction worker, logos that are overly abstract. No acronyms with my company name like IFT, etc. No "photograph looking" pics or designs, more stylistic is preferred.
