Web Design Brief

I am a sports and exercise medicine doctor with research interests in the cutting edge areas of biological therapies, most notable stem cells. None of my patients are dying of anything, and most of them come to see me to decrease their pain, so they can get back to what they want to do.

The approach i then take is to decrease their pain and support them to achieve the things they wish to achieve. Most people start at "Just make it stop hurting doc" , but I try to move them towards something more important over time.

I would like the website to be very different to other "Doctor or medical websites" in its look. No pictures of doctors in white coats and no pictures of fit old people smiling. I would potentially like the fist thing seen to be a quote:

"Less pain. Everybody wants it, but what are you going to do, once you've got it?"

(But this is only an idea, I am open to anything)

The website will need a couple of things

1. "Locations" I work
2. "Research" I am involved in
3. "Sort Me out" - Clinical information for people to access
4. "Social" - imbedded twitter and facebook
5. "Blog" - imbedded wordpress blog
6. "Bio" - the usual bio-stuff

The "Sort Me out" - pages I would like to have the functionality as seen in this site http://www.purecell.com.au/platelet/. I intend to put disease topics into these pages (eg Achilles tehdinopathy, osteoarthritis etc etc etc). Once again I am not wedded to this but something along these lines would be good.
